Four's Curriculum Focus The best way to describe a 4 year old is energetic and imaginative. They can often be impatient, loud and silly. They are discovering humor and enjoy trying to make their parents, friends and perfect strangers laugh! A four year old has an active imagination and can sometimes blur the line between real and pretend. They tend to be very confident in their skills which can prove to be a challenge. They cannot estimate their own ability which is why they tend to try outlandish and dangerous tricks. Never turn your back on a 4-year-old! Monday-Thursday This is a great program for any child that is ready to move to kindergarten in the following year. The class has been created for 4-year-olds who are able to successfully learn in a blended environment. We often reference this class as our "4-day Pre-K" understanding many of the children will graduate to kindergarten the following year. Some children in this class will have birthdays that fall after August 31st. While many four year olds have the aptitude for reading and number understanding, state age requirements for incoming Kindergarten children are strict and some children will not be considered for early enrollment into Kindergarten. Our program ensures that your child will continue to be challenged academically as well as help them mature socially and emotionally for their Pre-K and Kindergarten experience. Four’s curriculum will be closely calibrated with our standard Pre-K class and will continue to focus on early literacy and writing practice. Rainy Dayz uses Hooked on Phonics ® for our literacy program for this age group. A more in depth study of math including one to one correspondence, sorting, patterning and counting will be incorporated every day. Science, art and social studies will also be a regular focus.

Rainy Day Recess(Extended Day Program)We understand how hectic your schedules can be and have created a program to help! We now offer early drop-off and late pick-up. Combination of preschool and extended day cannot exceed 4-hours.
*Breakfast or lunch is available for an additional $3 per day for those interested.
